What is an EORI number?

EORI stands for “Economic Operator Registration and Identification” number and is given to people or businesses within the European Union. An EORI number refers to an EU recipient's Tax ID. This number is only required for business-to-business (B2B) shipments in the EU.

The European Union has launched the second release of the Import Control System. The new rules require shippers to include an EORI number for some countries when using international services. Our system highlights the required information when creating your label, so if you are shipping internationally, be sure to include the EROI number for some countries.

EORI numbers are required for all shipments going to EU countries. If you don’t have one for your recipient, we advise you to contact your recipient to get their EORI number.
